I always feel kind of sad when writers who love to write say they're leaving Medium. I'm a little chagrinned because I never get this much clappage on anything I write...yet i feel it is lovingly received from the community I've entered/built. And there are responses and interactions with writers I admire, writers new to me, writers whose work is just plain different from mine. I love to write...and share, overshare...not sure where the journey will go...but if it were only about claps...yeah, I'd be dead.

But you did say you want to do it on your own terms...so I guess that means leaving. I'm just saying medium and writing for the love of it don't have to be mutally exclusive...at least not for me. Much success to you wherever your musing takes you. x
